“We collided!” That’s how co-owners Gloria N. Smith and Tara Smith describe uniting to form Total Glamour Beauty Supply.  Total Glamour Beauty Supply opened its doors December 2020.  Both owners previously worked at General Motors (GM), where they discovered they had similar interests; the main one being the beauty industry.  Realizing their skill sets in engineering and project management would bode well into running a business in the beauty industry, both Gloria and Tara decided to pursue opening a beauty supply store.
Tara and Gloria spent their lunch time at GM studying and learning the business.  After attending a beauty industry conference, they both knew they were on the right track.  Tara’s entrepreneurial spirit and Gloria’s lifelong passion for styling hair were combined at the right time and brought to life Total Glamour Beauty Supply. 
Total Glamour Beauty Supply is located in Southfield, Mich., right outside of Detroit.  The store is centrally located to reach customers from multiple communities looking to meet their needs for quality beauty products. Total Glamour Beauty Supply is committed to understanding their customer’s needs and delivering great service. Total Glamour Beauty Supply is one of a few Black women owned beauty supply stores in the state of Michigan.
